Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Location: Salem, OR
Schedule: Part-Time – Saturdays & Sundays, 7 AM – 7 PM
Hiring Bonus: $500

At Community Access Services (CAS), we create opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to thrive. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll play a vital role in helping people live full, independent, and meaningful lives.

What You’ll Do as a DSP:

  • Build person-centered relationships that promote independence, dignity, and joy

  • Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, and personal care

  • Support individuals in community activities, recreation, and personal goals

  • Encourage skill development and social connections

  • Follow individualized support plans and behavioral strategies (training provided)

  • Administer medications safely and maintain accurate records

  • Help ensure the home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience as a DSP, caregiver, personal support worker, or in human services is a plus—but no experience is required!

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to be approved as a company driver

  • Pass a national background check

  • Strong communication skills, compassion, and patience

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility support
