What You'll Do
Direct Support Professionals help the people we serve with everyday activities while encouraging independence, choice, and participation in the community.
Typical responsibilities include:

Developing respectful and supportive relationships with individuals receiving services
Assisting with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal care, hygiene, and household responsibilities
Providing support during community activities, appointments, recreation, and other outings
Helping individuals work toward personal goals and develop everyday skills
Administering medications and maintaining accurate records and documentation
Helping maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable residential environment
Respecting and advocating for each person's choices, dignity, preferences, and well-being

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver's license
Ability to successfully complete a national background check
Ability to qualify as an approved company driver
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and provide mobility assistance
Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, behavioral health, childcare, or human services is helpful, but not required
