As a Program Lead, you'll continue providing direct support while helping ensure the success of the home.
Responsibilities include:
- Building meaningful, person-centered relationships that promote independence, dignity, and choice
- Assisting individuals with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and hygiene
- Supporting community outings, appointments, recreation, employment, and personal goals
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and skill development
- Administering medications and completing documentation accurately
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment
- Serving as a mentor and positive role model for Direct Support Professionals
- Advocating for the choices, rights, and well-being of the people you support
Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) or in a Direct Support Professional role required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to become an approved company driver
- Ability to pass a national background check
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and assist individuals with mobility needs
