What You’ll Do as a DSP in the DSA Program
- Build supportive, person-centered relationships that promote independence, dignity, and personal growth.
- Lead and participate in daily activities such as art, cooking, music, physical exercise and skill-building sessions.
- Support individuals during community outings, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and more.
- Encourage social connection, communication, and confidence-building through meaningful engagement.
- Follow individualized service plans and behavior/support strategies (training provided).
- Assist with personal care routines as needed.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate, timely documentation.
- Help create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants.
What We’re Looking For in a DSP:
- Experience as a DSP, caregiver, or human services professional is great, but not required—we provide all training!
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to become an approved company driver.
- Ability to pass a national background check.
- Compassionate communicator with patience and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility needs.
